A MAGNIFICENT EARLY 19thc OIL ON PORTRAIT PAINTING OF A SOCIETY LADY (1 OF 2)

A truly beautiful original 19th Century Period Victorian Half length Oil Portrait painting of a affluent Society Lady.

The outstanding example is dated Verso 1842 and includes some indistinct inscription to the reverse which we can't quite make out although we can read the word Wallander ?

The sitter is wearing a very pretty shawl and some very fine Jewellery which includes a large beaded gold chain. She is also wearing what appears to be her wedding rings on one hand.

We do in fact have the second matching portrait & frame which depicts this very affluent lady's husband (Please see or other listings)

The attention to detail throughout the work is absolutely marvellous and almost life like in it's execution.

Mounted within the original period gilt moulded 19th Century frame, the painting & frame are in excellent original condition commensurate with age and are ready to be enjoyed immediately.

A remarkable example that was clearly once an important part of a very fine residence.

The asking price includes our 'Free'' UK mainland fully insured delivery service.
